2001 May to June, 321st, SSgt Burton, got washed back 4th week and then had SSgt Pollack. I dont remember the other TIs but there was one in the first flight I was with who was really cool and there was a woman who lead my 1st flights brother flight and people would always mistakenly call her sir and it was hilarious to watch her get pissed off about it each time.

I started out BMT in the 320 TRS in August 2003. I had TSgt. Miller and SSgt. Boynton. After catching Pneumonia during Warrior week, I was moved to the 319th. I can't remember my TI's names from there. After 3 weeks of the 319th, I was sent to the 321 TRS, in which I had TSgt. Atschley. I can't remember the name of his partner TI though. I know my brother flight had SSgt. Moon as their TI.

Now I remember. In the 321 TRS the partner TI was SSgt. Rodriguez. This was kind of funny because when I arrived at my first duty assignment in Altus AFB, OK, my first supervisor was also SSgt. Rodriguez. Same name, different guy. :blol:

This. I remember working EC and he would just be sitting in the back of the dorms, waiting...

It was scary.

I cannot believe that this thread is still open, This thread is almost as old as my career here in the Air Force. I wonder how many from my BMT flight are still in.

SSgt Chet McCracken and SSgt Serreta.

Chet was a short guy but was meaner than anybody else in the Squadron. I think he got a perverse pleasure in making others cry.

We had MCracken and Serreta too in Aug 1988. Then there was a falling out of sorts and we had several other TIs fill in. Can't find our photo but don't recall which TIs were in it or listened on the board.

Searching for info on folks who shaped my career and found this obit of my very first and favorite TI, way too young!

Chester (Chet) Arthur McCracken

42. On the 10th day of October 2002, in Boise, Idaho, Chester (Chet) Arthur McCracken went into the open arms of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the beloved husband of Jo Ann; father to William Arthur McCracken and Timothy Garrett McCracken; son to Dr. John W. and Dorothy McCracken; brother to Shelly and Charles Kilmer, Greg and Tracey McCracken, Michael and Paula McCracken, and Mauri and James Loffler; and uncle to an abundance of nephews and nieces. He is the son-in-law to Roy and Onie Gowens; brother-in-law to Warren and Marjorie Tuttle and Jerry and Jo Ann Gowens; and an uncle and cousin to many in California and Texas. Chet was a Senior Automotive Technician in Boise, he was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he spent 14 years serving his country and fellow men as Flight Operations Specialist at several bases and as Technical Instructor (TI) at Lackland AFB, Texas; training and instructing young men and women to find their strengths and pride and instill Air Force core values – Integrity first, Service before self, and Excellence in all we do. He influenced and was admired by many of his trainees. Chet enjoyed fishing, hunting in Texas, the Dakotas and Idaho with his family and was an avid car enthusiast. Viewing will be Tuesday, October 15, 2002, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. (@ Magee), where services will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2002, at 1:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at East Lawn Cemetery.
